Dealing With Loss

I’ve lost my best friend, my soulmate. My husband passed away on Tuesday, March 7th at 4 am. He quietly slipped away in his sleep at the hospital.  After a long illness, he is finally at peace. I’m devastated, and feeling guilty for wanting him back. Breakfast is the worst. That empty chair stares back at me. The silence – like a knife.

I shall be absent for a while. If  you have someone who is failing in health, touch them, hold their hand, look into their eyes and convey how much they are loved and valued.

  1. My sincere condolences! I understand some of your grief, scare, and sorrow as I have been caregiving for my husband for a year. He is doing better, but he will never be well again. My heart truly goes out to you. Big Hugs from afar! Take care of yourself… and feel whatever you need to feel… it is healing.

  3. I’m so sorry for your loss. I lost my husband when he was only 43. Remember to take good care of yourself now and allow grief to take whatever form you need it to. Love and hugs to you.
