What writing rule do you wish you’d never heard?
While writing The Guardian’s Wildchild, my editor cajoled me into writing a bio for each character. I don’t know what magic she used on me. Normally, when someone tells me to follow a rule, I rebel. Grumbling and protesting, I did write biographies for each of the dozen characters. It was the best advice for keeping my characters’ actions, thoughts, dialogue consistent. But I still hate doing it. LOL
The awesome co-hosts for the January 4 posting of the IWSG are Eva @ Lillicasplace, Crystal Collier, Sheena-kay Graham, Chemist Ken, LG Keltner, and Heather Gardner!

THUNDERCLAP
With my second novel, FORBIDDEN, on Amazon’s kindle book shelf, Bartholomew (Bart, aka Croak) and I are encouraging readers to read FORBIDDEN and write a review. We’ve teamed up with Reading Deals. Readers will receive an ebook of Forbidden for free in exchange for a review. To help get the word out, I’ve created a Thunderclap with the following blurb.
“I’m celebrating Forbidden’s arrival on Amazon. Read Forbidden for free in exchange for a review.”

Congratulations on your upcoming release! Will sign up for the Thunderclap.
I always do a character profile. It does help keep them straight.

Congrats on book launch. Signed up. I love doing character profiles but I admit I don’t do them for every character, just main ones and side kicks normally. Great post.

I write character profiles, too. But I’ve always done it.

Feather,
Congrats on the book launch and thanks for the reminder e-mail. I downloaded it for Kindle (with Kindle Unlimited) and started reading it, and it is awesome so far. Is it not supposed to be out yet? Because it was right there on Amazon when I looked for it. I love the quote you put at the beginning. Happy IWSG Day and Happy 2017!

Thunderclap is done, and I think I signed up for a copy and review. Things are all twisted this week, but yes, I’ll definitely support your tour. I’d love too, just let me know what and when and I’m there!
Congratulations!
Happy 2017!
