Facing a Violent Death
It took me a long time to write this piece in chapter one. After many rewrites and my editor’s red pen, I’m loving the introduction of the first main character, Eliza MacKay, a reluctant heroine. She exists in a mental hell. Somehow, she manages to muster up enough anger and courage to face a more devastating enemy.
How many of us knows how it feels to face several armed villains; knowing there is no escape? What would go through your mind? Would you submit to pure panic with chaotic thoughts until your last breath? Or would you turn to your faith, seek out the reverent thoughts of being one with God / Allah? Could you muster up the courage to survive at all cost – at any cost?
