For the past four years, the David Suzuki Foundation has invited Canadians (and people worldwide) to join the 30×30 Nature Challenge. Last year, over 15,000 people signed up to spend 30 minutes outside each day for 30 days. Join us in cultivating the nature habit! You can sign up now! The challenge starts Friday, May 1st! And don’t worry — getting your nature fix is easier than you think! You can watch and share this fun video (below) for motivation and inspiration. Once you sign up, share your stories and photos with us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram using the hashtag #NatureIsCalling. Photos will be entered into a weekly contest for great prizes!

 Feather Stone Challenges All Writers

We sit and sit and sit. Make some coffee and sit some more. Ugh!!!! Yes, our fingers get a workout on the keyboard. But what is happening to your cardiovascular machinery? Is your mood dropping? Are you suffering from that dreaded writer’s block?

I challenge you to participate with me on the 30 x 30 Challenge, sponsored by Dr. David Suzuki and several other organization.

“A growing chorus of scientists and researchers agree: time spent in nature makes us happier, healthier and less stressed. It increases creativity and lowers risk of heart attacks. It even makes us nicer, more empathetic humans, with more meaningful relationships and increased community involvement.”

I will be posting my activity every two days here and on my Romance Under Fire facebook. To inspire you, here is the first DAILY TIP.  Friday, May 1st, I will post a photo of my beautiful metatarsals trekking on the trails at Chickakoo. You know the saying? You show me yours, and I’ll show you mine. So, sign up for the 30 x 30 Challenge and show me yours.
